Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts of all previous college or university courses attempted are required. Your official high school transcript, if you apply with fewer than 24 credits completed.
  • SAT Scores:
    SATI/ACT scores are required, if you apply with fewer than 24 credits completed and have been out of high school less than 3 years.
  • Essay:
    The submission of a personal essay is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is an application fee of $40 in-state, $60 out-of-state.
  • Other Requirements:
    In addition to the transcripts, a list of all the courses you are currently taking, by course number, title, and credits is required. Photocopies of catalog pages with course descriptions for the work you have completed are required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    A grade of C- is the minimum acceptable grade for receiving transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    There is no limit to the number of credits transferred to UMass Dartmouth. However, you are still required to complete 45 credits to receive your degree.
