Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  We offer more than 100 scholarships, including a scholarship for all eligible Maryland community college graduates. The UMGC Completion Scholarship brings the average cost to complete a bachelor's degree to $12,000 or less.
• Tuition and Fees:
  At UMGC, our costs are competitive, especially our in-state rates for Maryland residents. And we provide reduced tuition for military servicemembers, their spouses and dependent children, as well as reduced tuition for federal government employees.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  University of Maryland Global Campus makes the transfer process smooth for incoming students. With our flexible transfer credit policies, you can earn your degree on a fast track.
• Credit For Life Experience:
  You can earn college credit for what you've learned on the job or in the military.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Official Transcripts:
  At University of Maryland Global Campus, undergraduate students must submit official transcripts from all institutions previously attended, including high school and any colleges.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Transfer credits from approved two- and four-year colleges and universities for courses in which you earned a grade of at least C may be accepted for courses that apply to your curriculum.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  UMGC accepts up to 90 credits from eligible four-year colleges and universities—including applicable military credit—and up to 70 credits from eligible two-year community colleges, as long as these credits are applied toward a bachelor's degree.
