Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    There is a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for transfer admission consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transfer applicants with 23 or fewer semester hours must submit complete official high school transcript including the date of graduation. Offical transcripts from previously attended institution(s) is required for admission consideration.
  • SAT Scores:
    Transfer applicants with 23 or fewer semester hours must submit official results for either the ACT (American College Test) or the SAT I (Scholastic Assessment Test).
  • Application Fee:
    There is an application processing fee of $50.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    A minimum grade of D- is required on all courses transferred to UK. Some colleges and departments may require a higher grade in order for the course to satisfy degree requirements.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A transfer applicant have a minimum number of 24 credits completed or else must apply as an entering freshman. Maximum number of credits or courses that may be transferred from a two-year institution is 67 and from a four-year institution is 90.
