We are proud to be one of three campuses of the world class University of Illinois. Your degree will be among the most recognizable and prestigious in the nation. We are the U of I campus where classes are small (student-professor ratio averages 14:1), and professors know their students, not just their names. Professors, not teaching assistants, teach classes at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Internships are plentiful, and student life continues to grow. UIS is ranked 2nd among public Regional Universities in the Midwest Region in U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges 2013". UIS was ranked 4th in the same category the previous three years. UIS has a diverse campus of approximately 5,000 students.
