Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  Before each year of college, apply for federal grants, work-study, and loans with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. Your college uses your FAFSA data to determine your federal aid eligibility. A scholarship is gift assistance that does not have to be repaid. Scholarships are awarded based on a student's academic achievement, athletic ability, field of study, special talents, etc. Transfer undergraduates have several scholarship, grant, and waiver opportunities.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  If you've completed 24 semester hours of coursework at a regionally accredited college or university, you can apply to UIC as a transfer student.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required. This may vary depending on the college and program of study.
• Official Transcripts:
  Official college transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities are required.
• Application Fee:
  $60 nonrefundable application fee or fee waiver.
• Interview:
  An interview may be required.
• Other Requirements:
  Additional program specific requirements, prerequisites, and supplemental materials may apply.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  A minimum grade of C is required for any course that may be transferred for credit.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  A maximum of 60 credits can be accepted for transfer. You must earn 30 semester hours of credit at UIC to earn a bachelor's degree.
