Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The University of Hartford does not publish a minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official collegiate transcripts from all previously attended institutions regardless of achievement or desired credit.
  • SAT Scores:
    Students with less than thirty completed semester hours at the time of application must submit their standardized test scores (SAT/ACT) and their official final high school transcript.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    The University of Hartford does not publish a requirement for letters of recommendation.
  • Essay:
    An essay about why you wish to attend the University of Hartford is included on the application.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $35 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    Applicants to the Hartt School are required to audition and/or interview.
  • Other Requirements:
    The Hartford Art School required a portfolio review for admission to its programs of study.
