  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    At the University of Colorado Boulder, our awarding policy gives priority to the neediest students, as determined by the FAFSA. Last academic year, over $238 million of financial aid was awarded. Typically more than half of the student body receives some form of aid–scholarships, grants, loans or work-study employment.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    The CU Boulder Guarantee will allow students and families to count on the same rate of tuition and fees for four consecutive years. This enables Colorado families to plan for the entire four-year tuition and mandatory fee costs.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Minimum college grade point average varies by college and school for transfer applicants.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Both high school and college transcripts are required for admission consideration.
  • SAT Scores:
    Test scores are not required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Applicants may submit one or two letters of recommendation if you wish, however, doing so is optional.
  • Essay:
    Two personal essays are required for CU-Boulder’s undergraduate admission application. Your personal essays are the best way for us to learn about you as an individual and to evaluate your academic performance within an appropriate context.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a nonrefundable application fee of $50.
  • Interview:
    Not offered or required
