Minimum GPA:
You must complete 60 semester units of transferable college credit with at least a 2.4 GPA (2.8 for nonresidents) for junior-level transfer. While all UC campuses welcome a large pool of junior-level transfers, most admit only a limited number of lower-division transfers. If you were eligible for admission to UC when you graduated from high school — meaning you satisfied the subject, examination and scholarship requirements — you are eligible for transfer if you have a 2.0 GPA in your transferable college coursework (2.8 GPA for non-residents).
Official Transcripts:
You’ll need to enter courses and grades from all colleges you have attended, so you'll need transcripts from all previously attended colleges. If you're a sophomore transfer applicant, you'll also need your high school transcript.
SAT Scores:
If you're a sophomore transfer applicant, include your ACT with Writing and/or SAT scores.
Essay:
Think of your personal statement as your chance to tell us who you are and what’s important
to you. What you tell us in your essays gives us the context to better understand the rest of the
information you’ve provided in your application.
Application Fee:
The application fee is $70 for each UC campus to which you apply. You must include the fees with your application or it will not be processed.
Interview:
An interview is not required.
Other Requirements:
Because of the number of applications received, we are unable to evaluate coursework for applicants prior to admission.
