  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    There are many types of financial aid available to fund your education including Grants, Scholarships, Loans and Work-Study. Most financial aid is awarded based on need and family financial circumstances, but loans are available to students from all financial backgrounds. Financial aid is available for U.S. citizens, permanent residents and other eligible non-citizens who are enrolled at least half-time in an undergraduate program that leads to a degree or certificate.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum college grade point average of 2.4 is required of resident applicants, 2.8 for non-resident applicants.
  • Official Transcripts:
    If you are admitted, you will be asked to submit official transcripts from all schools and colleges you have attended, including high school, regardless of your length of attendance or whether you believe the credit is transferable.
  • SAT Scores:
    All applicants should report scores for any SAT Subject Tests, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, TOEFL or IELTS exams they have taken
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    UC does not require or solicit letters of recommendation for undergraduate admission; however, they may be required for campus scholarships.
  • Essay:
    Your personal essay consisting of responses to 2 prompts is your chance to tell us who you are and what’s important to you. Think of it as your opportunity to introduce yourself to the people reading your app.
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required.
  • Other Requirements:
    You must complete with grades C or better the UC Seven Course Pattern.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The University awards graduation credit for up to 70 semester (105 quarter) units of transferable course work from a community college. Courses in excess of 70 semester units receive subject credit and may be used to satisfy subject requirements.
