The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is a fully accredited research university and academic health center nestled in the heart of downtown Birmingham with an annual enrollment of more than 18,000 students. In a short time, UAB has established outstanding degree programs through eight undergraduate schools of study and graduate programs serving all major units. As the University has grown, so have its contributions to the state, the nation, and the world. Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    2.0 cumulative GPA from all transferable credit hours.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from any institution you have ever attended since high school.
  • SAT Scores:
    Standardized test scores are not required unless you have less than 24 transferable credit hours.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    None required unless applying to specific honors programs.
  • Essay:
    None required unless applying to specific honors programs.
  • Application Fee:

  • Interview:
