Founded in 1972, Wayne College is the only regional branch of The University of Akron and is authorized by the State of Ohio through the Ohio State Board of Regents to offer general education, including associate degrees and baccalaureate-oriented preparation; technical education programs; and continuing education experiences for those who live in the College's service area of Wayne, Medina and Holmes counties. Wayne College offers the first two years of general education leading to a bachelor's degree at The University of Akron or for transfer to any other college or university.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    All transfer students must request an official transcript from each college attended. Your high school transcript is required if you are under age 25 and have less than 12 semester hours of college credit
  • SAT Scores:
    ACT/SAT scores are required if you are under age 21 and have less than 12 semester hours of college credit.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Not required for admissions consideration.
  • Essay:
    Not required for admissions consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $40 non-refundable application.
  • Interview:
    Not required for admissions consideration.
  • Other Requirements:
    Applicants must have left their previous institution in good standing. Credentials from all nursing schools you attended are required if you are pursuing a B.S. in Nursing.
