The Interior Alaska Campus (IAC) is one of five campuses serving rural Alaskan students. We are a unique campus due to the area we serve, our teaching formats and the integration of cultural knowledge and practices into our curriculum. Our courses and programs provide relevant skills and knowledge on a wide range of topics including Associate of Science, Construction Trades Technology, Tribal Management, Rural Human Services, Wildland Fire, Education and other areas. Our staff and faculty go out of their way to aid student success. We also have bridging programs and courses for high school students and those who would like to enter college after time away from formal education.

Financial Information

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, loans and employment is available at UAF to eligible students who need assistance to attend school. Financial aid can be used to help pay for tuition, fees, books, supplies and living expenses such as room and board. The Financial Aid Office provides counseling and information to students and parents, and administers a comprehensive program of financial assistance. For more information, Click Here

Information for Transfer In Students

  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Students may earn undergraduate credit based on university-level learning they have obtained outside the classroom. Students can document the university-level learning they have gained with a portfolio or copies of licenses and certificates earned.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Minimum of cumulative 2.0 GPA from transfer institutions.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Yes, official transcripts are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT or ACT scores are not required if student has 30 credits or more of transfer credit for the bachelor degree.
  • Application Fee:
    $40 for certificate and associate, $50 for bachelor

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Transfer credit is awarded for courses in which the student received grades of C- or better. Instructor permission may be required for purposes of registration if the transfer credit courses have not satisfied the prerequisite requirements.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Undergraduate credits earned at the 100 level or above with a C- grade or higher at institutions accredited by one of the six regional accrediting agencies will be considered for transfer.
