    Applicants must have at least 12 credit hours of full-time or part-time college course work in order to be considered as a transfer applicant.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Admission to Trinity is highly selective, and most admitted transfer students show a minimum cumulative college grade point average of 3.0 or higher (based on 4.0 scale) in full-time coursework.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Trinity requires the submission of official high school transcripts, as well as official transcripts from every postsecondary institution previously attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT I or ACT scores are not required for students who have been out of high school for more than five years.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    The College Official's Report and an Instructor Evaluation are required.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $50 application processing fee required for paper applications, whereas applications submitted on line are free of charge.
  • Interview:
    A personal interview is not required; however, it is recommended.
  • Other Requirements:
    Course descriptions should be submitted for each course that you would like to receive credit at Trinity.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only grades of “C-“ or higher will be accepted in transfer. Failed courses must be repeated at Trinity.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    There is not a number limit on how many credit hours a student can transfer into the University. Students must complete at least 18 credit hours of Common Curriculum course work and at least 62 credit hours of course work while a Trinity student.
