ART 103 or 104 may also meet the B.A. Non-Western Culture requirement (see Note 3 below). Note 2: Mason requires 3 credit hours of global understanding. Note 3: Mason's College of Arts and Sciences B.A. requires 3 credit hours in philosophy or religious studies. Select from any VCCS PHI or REL course. REL 231 or 232 may also be used to meet the non-western culture requirement (see Note 4 below). Note 4: Mason's College of Arts and Sciences B.A. requires 3 credit hours in non-western culture. Students who have attended a native school in a non-western country for 4 or more years may request a waiver for the non-western culture requirement through Masons Student Academic Affairs Office. The Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History requires a total of 120 credits of which 45 hours must be in upper level (300/400) courses.
