In 1988, the Joint Admissions Program was formalized. This program links MCC's associate in applied science (A.A.S.) programs in Civil/Construction Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems, Electronic & Computer Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, as well as associate in science (A.S.) degree programs in Computer Science, Engineering Science, and Business Administration with corresponding bachelor's (B.S.) degree programs at NJIT. When the time comes and the student wished to transition to NJIT, the student meets with the Transfer Advisor at MCC. Students participating in the Joint Admission Program pay no application fee. Their paperwork, a completed application and other materials, will be processed to NJIT by the MCC Transfer Advisor. The A.A.S. or A.S. degree is the student's guarantee of admission to NJIT.
