Sacred Heart University & Housatonic Community CollegeSacred Heart University Transfer Web Site Articulation Agreement with Housatonic Community College Students who successfully complete their education at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport will find it easier to enroll and transfer their credits to Sacred Heart University under a transfer articulation agreement signed by the officials of the two schools. "This important agreement strengthens our efforts to serve the educational needs of Fairfield County. Housatonic Community College does an excellent job of teaching its students and preparing them for the continuation of their college studies. We look forward to a long and successful partnership," said Anthony J. Cernera, Ph.D., president of Sacred Heart University. "We are delighted with this articulation," said Janis Wertz, Ph.D., president of Housatonic Community-Technical College. ";Sacred Heart University joins other universities welcoming our students for their degree work. We are fortunate that in the greater Bridgeport area we have exceptional universities such as Sacred Heart, and we are confident knowing that our students are well-prepared and will be a credit to both their alma maters." Under the agreement, HCC students who earn a grade point average of 2.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale) will be able to transfer into Sacred Heart University's baccalaureate degree programs. Students who are accepted with 54 transferable credits will be classified as juniors. A maximum of 66 credits can be transferred. The University has more than 2,600 full-time undergraduates and 1,500 graduate students as well as more than 1,800 adults and non-traditional students enrolled in part-time and personal enrichment programs.
