Only courses with earned grades of C or better will transfer. Qualified Berkshire Community College women will be automatically admitted into the RSC Interdisciplinary program. Students finishing Health Studies electives in their fourth year graduate in May, then begin PT courses immediately that summer. For Accelerated entry into the Physical Therapy Program Qualified students may accelerate into the DPT Program by enrolling in and completing 30 credits of the first year physical therapy courses in place of fourth year undergraduate electives. The BS degree in Interdisciplinary Health Studies is awarded in December of the fourth year, and the Doctor of Physical Therapy at the end of the sixth year. To qualify, students must: Attain a 3.0 RSC GPA (to be reviewed at the close of the fall and spring semesters, prior to entering the PT Program) Attain a 3.0 GPA in the PT Program science prerequisite courses (Anatomy & Physiology I and II; Chemistry I & II, Physics I & II, and Cell Biology) Complete all major courses, RSC general education requirements and PT Program prerequisite courses by the end of the third year (or equivalent) Complete a minimum of 90 undergraduate credits Students who prefer not to accelerate or need to improve their grade point averages can take an additional year of undergraduate study to complete their baccalaureate degrees and reapply to the graduate DPT Program.
