Lourdes-2+2-Nursing transfer programs home2 + 2 agreements homehome | search | site map NURSING EDUCATION ARTICULATION AGREEMENT FOR ACADEMIC CAREER MOBILITY BETWEEN LOURDES COLLEGE AND MONROE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE Monroe County Community College and Lourdes College recognize the need for and importance of facilitating the transfer of students from Monroe County Community College to Lourdes College as they pursue their educational goals. In an effort to facilitate the transfer process and to promote the closer coordination of academic courses and programs and degrees offered by our institutions, Monroe County Community College and Lourdes College do hereby enter into the following articulation agreement. Further, we commit to work collaboratively to foster, extend, and enhance transfer opportunities for recipients of the Monroe Community College Associate of Science Degree-Registered Nurse Program seeking, to earn the Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Lourdes College. Transfer students are subject to the catalog in force at Lourdes College at the time of their enrollment into the nursing program at Monroe County Community College. Previous articulation agreements remain in effect for the student who entered Monroe County Community College prior to Fall 1997. Once admitted to Lourdes College, the transfer students are subject to the same regulations governing applicability of catalog requirements as all other students. To ensure that the transition to Lourdes College is as smooth as possible, Monroe County Community College and Lourdes College agree to participate in regular reviews of program requirements and appropriate advising procedures. It is recognized that individual graduates of Monroe County Community College must meet all of the admission, progression, and graduation requirements of Lourdes College and its Department of Nursing. This Articulation agreement will remain in effect until such time as there is a change in either program or the articulation agreement is deemed unsatisfactory to either party. At that time the college initiating the discontinuation of this agreement will notify the other college of its intent to void this agreement and, if desired, initiate a new articulation agreement. Requirements of admission to the Nursing Major Graduation from the Registered Nurse Program at Monroe County Community College. Cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above. Current active, unencumbered license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Admission to Lourdes College. Satisfactory completion of prerequisite course requirements as listed below. Professional liability/malpractice insurance coverage of $1 million per incident million aggregate, Health Care Provider CPR, and satisfactory compliance with all health assessment and immunization requirements prior to clinical nursing courses.
