The University of Texas at San Antonio serves the San Antonio metropolitan area and the broader region of South Texas through programs and services offered from its three campuses.   • Accepts Transfers:
    Yes, The University of Texas at San Antonio is a transfer-friendly school. Nearly 3,500 new transfer students enrolled at UTSA during the past academic year.
  • Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
    Where vo-tech courses support a student’s degree program, the student may make a written request to the Dean of the college to approve those courses as free elective credit. Vo-Tech Credits earned as part of an AAS are accepted for the BAAS program.
  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Credits for life experience are not accepted.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    You must have at least a cumulative C average (2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale) in all college hours attempted.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Freshman Transfers with less than 30 completed credit hours at time of application must submit an official high school transcript. Submit your official transcripts from each college/university attended, including Dual Credit work.
  • SAT Scores:
    Freshman Transfers with less than 30 completed credit hours at time of application must sent ACT/SAT scores with writing section sent directly from the testing agency.
  • Essay:
    An essay is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a non-refundable application fee of $40.
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required.
