Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  To be considered for financial aid, you must submit a FAFSA every year. Our school code for the FAFSA is 003658. UT offers over 3,000 scholarships to incoming and current students.
• Tuition and Fees:
  Estimated Total Cost of Full-Time Undergrad Attendance: $28,894-$31,612 (resident on-campus); $20,214-$22,932 (resident off-campus); $56,686-$64,534 (non-resident). Which includes tuition, room/board, transportation, books/supplies and miscellaneous.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  If you have or will have earned 24 semester hours of required transferable coursework at another college or university, apply for transfer admission.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Official Transcripts:
  Send us official transcript(s) documenting all coursework you have attempted at any college or university. Texas high school graduates who wish to be considered for automatic transfer admission must submit an official high school transcript.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Ask someone who knows you well to write a letter about your character and accomplishments. Letters of recommendation are appreciated but not required.
• Essay:
  Along with your ApplyTexas application or Coalition for College application, submit at least two essays.
• Application Fee:
  $75
• Other Requirements:
  Submit an expanded résumé offering additional information about your achievements. Submit any additional items required by the major you've selected as your first and second choices.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Courses in which grades lower than C- are earned do not transfer. Grades from transfer credit are excluded from a student's internal UT Austin GPA computation.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  Some UT Austin programs limit transfer credit in the major. All programs require completion of at least 60 semester hours in residence at UT.
