  UTA offers a variety of financial aid, scholarship and work-study options.
• Tuition and Fees:
  Expenses for your education at UT Arlington will vary depending on several criteria, such as whether you're a Texas resident, how many credit hours you're taking, whether you receive financial aid, where you live while studying here, and more.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  The University of Texas Arlington is a transfer friendly school.
• Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
  No university credit is given for vocational coursework.
• Credit For Life Experience:
  The university does not recognize life and/or career credit.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Transfers with a 2.25 overall GPA are, generally, admissible to the university. Students with at least a 2.00 but less than a 2.25 overall GPA are encouraged to apply and may be considered for admission on a space available basis.
• Official Transcripts:
  Have your school send current (no older than 6 months), official (sealed) transcripts to us. Or you can bring them to our office in Davis Hall. You may need to provide high school transcripts if you have less than 24 transferable credit hours.
• SAT Scores:
  The submission of SAT/ACT scores are required for freshman transfer students.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  We do not require transfer students to submit letters of recommendation for admission. But the academic program you’re trying to get into may need them, so check with the academic college and see if they require letters of recommendation.
• Essay:
  UTEP requires a statement of purpose with your application which will provide an opportunity to explain any extenuating circumstances that you feel could add value to your application. There are two other optional essay questions.
• Application Fee:
  For the University of Texas at Arlington the fee is $50. Unless you’ve missed the deadline, then the fee is $60. For qualified applicants there are some fee waivers available.
• Interview:
  UTA does not require an interview.
• Other Requirements:
  Freshmen transfer students must also meet our Category II Admissions requirements.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  UT Arlington does not accept the grade of “D” in transfer, so keep your grades up so you can receive as much credit as possible.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  Your student center will provide you with an evaluation of your transfer credits so you will know exactly what credits have been accepted by the university.
