Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    If you have enrolled in 12 credit hours or more of college-level course work at an accredited institution since graduating from high school and would like to take courses at The University of Findlay, you are considered a transfer student.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.25, however, our more competitive students have a 2.5 or better.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Send official transcripts from all college-level institutions and high schools previously attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have less then 12 credit hours of college-level course you must submit the results from either the American College Testing Program (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Applicants must also be in “good” standing at their previous institution. If you have less then 12 credit hours of college-level course you must submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor.
  • Essay:
    If you have less then 12 credit hours of college-level course you must submit an essay or personal statement.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only courses that have been completed with a “C” or better will be transferred into UF.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Up to 62 approved semester hours will transfer from a two-year institution. There is no limit to the number of approved semester hours that will transfer from a four-year institution.
