    Juilliard’s admissions policies are “need-blind,” meaning that applying for financial aid will not hurt your chances of being admitted. In fact, eighty percent of our admitted students receive scholarship support through Juilliard.

  • Accepts Transfers:
    Transfer status is available only to those accepted into undergraduate programs in Dance, Drama, and Music who have completed work at a post-secondary institution after graduating from high school.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Although The Juilliard School does carefully evaluate the transcripts and diplomas earned by applicants, there are no specific courses, GPAs, or class rank required.
  • Interview:
    The Juilliard School does not require interviews for admission, except when part of the audition callback process.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Credit will not be allowed for courses in which the applicant has received a grade lower than C or its equivalent.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Transfer students are required to take a minimum of 12 liberal arts credits in residence at Juilliard.
