Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    There is a minimum GPA requirement of a 2.5.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official high school and college transcripts are required for all Transfer applicants. The Common Application secondary school report is not required. Have all final transcripts sent directly toThe Office of Admissions, Transfer Department.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT's or ACT's are required for all transfer applicants.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    TCNJ strongly encourages applicants to submit two or three recommendations.
  • Essay:
    The Common Application essay, which provides a choice of six topics, is the official essay used in the evaluation process.
  • Application Fee:
    $60 application fee send non-refundable check/money order to The Office of Admissions, Transfer Department.
  • Interview:
    TCNJ does not provide an Admissions Interview as part of the application process.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The College must have a minimum grade of C to transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Max credits accepted from a 2-year are 64, 80 from a 4-year. You must earn 48 credits at TCNJ to receive a bachelor's degree.
