The College of Idaho, dedicated to preparing students better than any other small college in the West, is the state’s oldest private college. Our students enjoy small classes taught by outstanding professors, a close-knit community, a competitive NAIA athletics program, outstanding visual and performing arts activities, and a beautiful residential campus. The College’s innovative PEAK curriculum challenges students to attain competencies in the four knowledge peaks of the fine arts and humanities, natural sciences and mathematics, social sciences and history, and a professional field, enabling them to graduate with an academic major and three undergraduate minors in four years.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
Students who have already completed at least 28 semester credits or 42 quarter credits of continuous enrollment at accredited colleges or universities will be considered for admission on the basis of that academic record (rather than the secondary school record) provided they have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better. Students who have completed fewer than 28 semester or 42 quarter credits should apply as freshman applicants, but may be granted advanced credit for that work.
  • Official Transcripts:
Students are required to disclose and include in their applications for admission official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended. High school transcripts are also required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Standardized test scores are required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
If you are not currently in high school your recommendation should be from someone outside of your family who can discuss your character and work ethic.
  • Essay:
A personal essay is required with your application.
  • Interview:
A meeting with an admission counselor to discuss the application, financial aid and scholarships, and other questions you may have about the College is strongly recommended.
