Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer and re-applying students must hold a high school diploma or the accepted equivalent and a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale. GPA is computed based on transferable college/university level work from regionally accredited institutions. Specific academic programs may require higher entrance requirements and applicants are subject to review by the dean of the appropriate school for admission approval.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Students transferring fewer than 30 semester hours must provide official high school transcripts or equivalent. Official final transcripts from any/all colleges and universities previously attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Students transferring fewer than 30 semester hours must submit a minimum SAT combined score of 920 (Critical Reading and Math) or a minimum ACT composite score of 19 to be eligible for an admission decision.
  • Essay:
    An essay may be required of some applicants.
  • Application Fee:
    For transfer students with fewer than 30 hours of transferable work there is an application fee of $25.
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required.
  • Other Requirements:
    Students who have been out of high school 7 or more years will be allowed to substitute SAT or ACT with the THEA college entrance exam.
