We recommend that all students complete a FAFSA regardless of whether you think you'll qualify. In addition to the FAFSA, seperate applications are required for scholarships.

  • Accepts Transfers:
    A student entering Texas A&M International University at the sophomore (30 to 59 hours), junior (60 to 89 hours), or senior (90 or more hours) level from an accredited college or university is considered a transfer student.

    A minimum overall grade point average of 2.00 is required.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college/university transcript(s) sent directly from each institution attended are required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    A grade of "D" is transferable, but a minimum grade of "C" is a required in all undergraduate courses in the academic major.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The applicant for a bachelor’s degree must have been in residence at TAMIU for 25% of the total semester credit hours required for the degree. 24 semester hours of the last 30 advanced hours required for the degree must be completed at TAMIU.
