Tennessee Wesleyan takes pride in its role as a small church-related college affiliated with the United Methodist Church and accepts the challenge of advancing a community of learning. Our main campus is made up of more than 21 buildings on 40 acres, including a lush landscape of mature trees and beautiful 1800’s architecture. The size of campus allows students to move easily between classes, administrative offices and services, athletic events and college activities. We enroll over 1,000 students. The student-to-faculty ratio is 15:1. Students complete a required liberal arts core curriculum that spans four years and emphasizes a global perspective on history, literature and culture.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum GPA requirement for transfer applicants is a 2.0 (on a 4.0) scale.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Final official college transcripts from all undergraduate coursework must be submitted. Final official transcripts from high school. are not used for admissions purposes, but must be included in the application for Tennessee residents only.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    The submission of a Recommendation Form completed by the Dean of Students at your previously attended institution is required. Students who have not attended college in 5 or more years are exempt.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required, but may be recommended for admission consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $25 non-refundable fee to apply.
  • Interview:
    A personal interview is not required, but may be recommended for admission consideration.

    The lowest grade earned for any course that me be transferred for credit is a D.

    The max credits that will transfer from a 2-year institution is 64 and from a 4-year is 96. You must complete 32 credit hours at Tennessee Wesleyan to earn a bachelor's degree.
