Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and must have at least a 2.0 in their last full-time semester (or last 12 hours for part-time students).
  • Official Transcripts:
    To accurately evaluate you for admissibility, you will need to submit official transcripts from your diploma-granting high school or GED and all colleges in which you were ever enrolled, including transcripts from dual-credit courses and/or AP exams.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have less than 24 transferrable college-level hours we may also need recent ACT/SAT scores (or COMPASS scores if over 21 with no recent college-level math, English, and reading courses).
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $25 non-refundable application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    A few programs at Tennessee Tech have additional admission requirements for admission. If you meet the general admission requirements, but not the program specific requirements, you will be admitted to the Student Success Program.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Tennessee Tech has a minimum grade requirement of C for transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A student transferring credit from a 2-year institution must complete a minimum of 60 semester hours at Tennessee Tech for a bachelor's degree. A max of 12 semester hours of credit in religios history and/or literature may be accepted.
