  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    SFS recommends prospective and current students complete the FAFSA annually by March 1 to determine annual eligibility for federal, state, and institutional based aid. An academic merit scholarship of up to $39,000 per year is available to transfer students with outstanding academic achievement in their previous college work. Community college transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa will receive a $5,000 scholarship in addition to their merit award.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Total Estimated Cost of Attendance: $73,000 On Campus | $62,000 Living at Home. Students who take fewer than 12 semester hours are billed a per semester hour instead of the full tuition. Additional fees may be charged for individual courses.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for transfer admission consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Submit an official high school transcript with your final grades and any and all official college transcripts, including courses taken online.
  • SAT Scores:
    Applicants with less than two years of college instruction can choose to submit their SAT or ACT exam scores (or both), but can also decide to apply without submitting scores under our test-optional plan.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Upon acceptance, submit the College Official’s Report, to be completed by the registrar or dean of students office at the most current institution attended.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is recommended.
  • Interview:
    An interview may be required by some programs of study.
  • Other Requirements:
    Some programs have additional admission requirements.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    To be acceptable for transfer credit, the grade earned in any course must be at least a C-. Grades from other colleges are not factored into a student's Susquehanna grade point average.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    You may transfer a maximum of 65 credits from an accredited institution pending approval from Susquehanna’s Registrar. You must complete 65 credits in residence at SU to earn a bachelor's degree.
