  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Students are automatically considered for merit scholarship funding when applying to Suffolk. The priority financial aid deadlines for transfer students are June 1 (fall entry) or December 1 (spring entry); funding for students submitting an application after these dates will be based on availability.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum gpa of 2.5 is considered competitive for admission. The average gpa for entering transfers is 3.0.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college transcript(s) from all colleges or universities attended are required to be considered for admission.
  • SAT Scores:
    Suffolk University has moved to a test-optional policy.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letters of recommendation are optional.
  • Essay:
    Essay topics are listed on the Transfer Common Application.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $50 nonrefundable application fee (application fee is automatically waived for those that come for a campus visit or for qualifying Guaranteed Admission transfer students).
  • Interview:
    A personal interview is not required; however, we do encourage prospective students to visit our campus.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    No

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    We consider earned grades of C- or higher for transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 75 semester hours may transfer from another institution. All transfer students must complete a minimum of 45 semester hours at Suffolk, including the final 30.
