    St. Olaf is one of over 300 schools nationally to require the CSS Profile in determining institutional aid. The FAFSA is required to determine your eligibility for all federal and state based financial aid, such as the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Direct Loans or Minnesota State Grant. Transfer students are eligible for financial aid and may compete for a limited number of merit scholarships.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Your official high school transcript and official transcripts from every college previously attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    St. Olaf is now test optional and no longer requires submission of ACT and/or SAT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    One academic letter of recommendation is required.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is required.
  • Interview:
    An interview is recommended of all applicants.
  • Other Requirements:
    The Transfer College Report is required.

    The maximum number of courses that may be transferred is 18. You must complete 17 courses at St Olaf to earn your bachelor's degree.
