  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The transfer scholarship program was designed to recognize the achievements of our transfer applicants. Students are considered for an academic transfer scholarship award based on the Undergraduate Admission and Scholarship Application. All qualified transfer applicants will be considered for an award. Students must be admitted to St. Mary's before an official award may be offered.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    To be considered for admission, a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in all academic work attempted and good standing at the college or university last attended are required. Applicants in good standing with the last institution attended and who present a grade point average between 2.0 and 2.49 (on a 4.0 scale) may be considered for probationary admission.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Request official college or university transcripts be sent directly from all schools attended. If you have less than 30 transferable hours and/or less than three hours of English composition, please submit an official high school transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have less than 30 transferable hours and/or less than three hours of English composition, please submit official ACT or SAT test scores.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no application fee for students who apply online, or who submit a paper application before January 15. After January 15, there is a $30 non-refundable application fee for those submitting a paper application.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Academic credits ordinarily will be accepted in transfer from another college if the grade(s) earned is/are at least C (2.0 on a 4.0 scale). The school(s) must be accredited by one of the six regional accrediting associations.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The maximum credit transferable from a junior college, or any combination of junior colleges, is 66 semester hours.
