Welcome to Southwestern Oklahoma State University--a university known for its quality academic programs and its friendly service to students, alumni, and friends. Located in the center of western Oklahoma, students may take classes on the main campus located in Weatherford and on the branch campus located in Sayre. Students may complete associate, bachelor's, master's, and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees while attending either the traditional on-campus classes or participating in distance learning opportunities provided through state-of-the-art technology. SWOSU has more than 210 full-time faculty, and 57% of SWOSU faculty hold doctorates. Our average class size is 26, and we offer more than 1,000 different classes.

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Any new transfer resident who is fully admissible, in good standing, to SWOSU with at least 16 hours (if applying for spring), and 24 hours (if applying for fall) from a college or university and a 3.25 minimum grade point average will be eligible to apply for The Transfer Scholarship. Awards will be equal to 12 semester hours of resident tuition for each of the fall and spring semesters. Awards are for one academic year only.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    SWOSU has a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for transfer.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college transcripts from each institution attended are required. If you are transferring with fewer than 24 credit hours, an official high school transcript is required.
  • SAT Scores:
    If transferring with fewer than 24 credit hours, ACT or SAT scores are also required
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $15 non-refundable application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    A separate application is required to enter a professional program for transfer students.
