Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be submitted using our School Code of 001758 as soon after October 1 as possible, for the Financial Aid Office to determine eligibility for the various financial aid programs.
• Tuition and Fees:
  Estimated Costs and Budget: $29,767 On/Off-Campus, $21,145 With Parents; $27,839 On/Off-Campus with Legacy; $19,217 With Parent with Legacy. This includes tuition, fees, room & board, books & supplies, and living expenses.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  We welcome transfer students at all stages of their college careers. Students come to us from community college, other Illinois universities, surrounding states, and even from other countries.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Students must have at least 26 transferable semester hours or 39 quarter hours and a GPA of 2.0/4.0 (as calculated by SIU grading policies). Students with less than 26 transferable hours, must have a 2.0/4.0 GPA (as calculated by SIUC grading policies) and also meet freshman admission requirements.
• Official Transcripts:
  Current official transcripts from each college attended are required. Official, final high school transcripts are required if you have fewer than 26 transferable semester hours.
• SAT Scores:
  No ACT/SAT required.
• Application Fee:
  $40 non-refundable Application Fee. Application fee waivers are available to students who meet certain income requirements.
• Other Requirements:
  A statement of good standing from all previously attended institutions is required. An additional step or screening process is required for certain programs. Requirements for direct entry into some programs exceed university admission requirements.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred is D.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  You must complete a minimum of 15 semester hours, specifically your last 30 credits, at SIUC to earn a bachelor's degree.
