  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The primary purpose of the financial aid programs at Southeastern Oklahoma State University is to identify deserving students in order to provide them with financial assistance for attending college. These programs are intended to supplement personal efforts in meeting college expenses. Continued support requires that the student remain in good academic standing with the University.

Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    A student who has attempted a minimum of seven or more semester hours of college-level credit after graduation from high school may apply as a transfer student.
  • Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
    Credits from some technical colleges and professional schools may not be applicable toward degree requirements at Southeastern Oklahoma State University due to the highly technical or specialized nature of the credits earned.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Submit transcripts of all previously attended colleges and/or universities. If you have earned less than 24 college or university credit hours, you must also submit your high school transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    You must take College Placement Tests and/or remedial courses if you have not met certain standardized test score requirements.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $20 non-refundable fee to apply.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students transferring from junior community colleges need to be aware that a minimum of 60 semester hours of course work (excluding physical education activity courses) applied toward the bachelor’s degree must be earned at a senior institution.
