Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  Financial assistance consists of scholarships, grants, loans and employment. These may be offered singly or in various combinations which constitute a “financial aid package.” The College requires completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility for federal financial aid, i.e., grants, loans and work study.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Official Transcripts:
  Request a copy of your high school or GED transcript be sent to the College Admissions. Request copies of official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions be sent directly from the institution to Admissions at the appropriate campus.
• SAT Scores:
  Students entering SCC programs need to either provide SAT/ACT or COMPASS/ASSET scores, or 3 hours or more of transfer credit from an accredited institution with a grade of C or better in each of the areas of writing, reading, and math.
• Other Requirements:
  There are no "standard admission requirements" for all programs. Each Program of Study has its own requirements. (i.e. some programs require a criminal background check.)

Transfer Credit Policy

• Credits (Min/Max):
  A minimum of one-third (1/3) of the credit hours required for a degree must be completed at SCC, the degree-granting institution, except under statewide or college partnership agreements with the division deans’ approval.
