Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  Transfer applications are accepted for both fall and spring semesters.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  The minimum GPA required for transfer admission consideration is 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale).
• Official Transcripts:
  Official transcripts from all colleges or universities where you have registered for any courses are required. Your final high school transcript is also required.
• SAT Scores:
  Results of SAT I or ACT scores are required and may be submitted on official high school transcripts or directly received from testing services.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Two (2) College Instructor Evaluations who have taught you in academic courses and a College Official Report are required.
• Essay:
  An essay/personal statement is required.
• Application Fee:
  There is a $65 non-refundable application fee.
• Interview:
  An interview is not required; however, it is recommended.
• Other Requirements:
  Personal qualities, accomplishments, interests and capacity for growth are also considered, so careful attention is paid to recommendations, the student’s personal statement, and, when possible, the interview.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Only courses in which a student has received a grade of “C” or better are transferable.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  There is no minimum required however we prefer to see one full year of college level work completed prior to transferring. We will accept a maximum of 60 transfer credit hours. A minimum of 60 credit hours must be completed here at Skidmore.
