Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Simpson's minimum GPA requirement for admission consideration is 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale). A student’s transfer GPA is not calculated into a student’s Simpson University GPA.
  • Official Transcripts:
    The submission of your official high school transcript is required, in addition to official transcripts from all previously attended postsecondary institutions.
  • SAT Scores:
    The submission of official standardized test scores is required if you have less than 24 tranferrable credits.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Simpson requires the submission of one Professional Reference with your application.
  • Essay:
    A Statement of Purpose is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $20 non-refundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    Because the success of our students is important to us, applicants who do not meet standard admissions requirements may need to participate in an individual entrance interview with the Director of Undergrad Admissions to be considered for acceptance.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only courses in which students have earned a grade of “C-” or above will be eligible for transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    62 units are required in order to begin the aspire program, 88 units plus 36 program units are required in order to graduate from Simpson.
