Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission consideration is 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Official Transcripts:
    An official transcript from each college attended is required. Your final high school transcript is only required for students who have taken fewer than 45 college level quarter credits (30 semester) since high school graduation.
  • SAT Scores:
    Your SAT or ACT score is only required for students who have taken fewer than 45 college level quarter credits (30 semester) since high school graduation.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A Teacher or Instructor Evaluation is required.
  • Essay:
    There is an essay or personal statement required with your application.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $50 application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    Transfers interested in pursuing direct admission to the nursing major need to provide additional application materials.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A max of 90 credits can transfer from 2-year colleges, AP, CLEP and I.B. combined. Students attending an accredited 4-year college/university can transfer more than 90 credits, but a minimum of 45 credits must be completed at SPU to earn a degree.
