There will be regular lectures and discussions, as well as performance assignments on pantomime, improvisation and acting technique.     The course is designed to provide students with information and skills concerning the education of students who have limited English profi ciency (LEP). The course addresses recognizing the need for training in order to work with LEP students and focuses on cross cultural understanding and methods of teaching speakers of other languages. It also focuses on working with the families of the LEP students. Ten hours fi eld experience. Prerequisite: EDF 3214. 3 semester hours. [A]

It examines briefl y the various political and economic systems, religions, philosophies and renowned leaders of the world civilizations and societies. The perspective is multicultural and multifaceted to effect a more integrated understanding of global development. This course spans the origins of civilizations through the Enlightenment. This course has been designated as an international/diversity course. 3 semester hours credit. [A]
