Includes oral communication skills, concepts of learning, planning and development of lesson plans, instructional materials and delivery methods, testing and evaluations, records and reports, and demonstration of instructional abilities. Fire Instructor I State Certificate is available.

3 CR. (3L) CORQ: REA 090 or equivalent assessment test score. Covers hydraulic calculations that are necessary in water delivery and supply for fire suppression; hydraulic laws and formulas as applied to fire protection requirements, and fire apparatus UL requirements.

3 CR. (3L) CORQ: REA 090 or equivalent assessment test score. Covers familiarization and interpretation of national, state and local codes, ordinances and laws which influence the field of fire prevention. Fire code and life safety code are reviewed and referred to throughout the course.

Covers the proper method(s) of conducting basic fire investigation, determining area and point of origin, cause and methods of fire spread, recognition and preservation of evidence.
