Comparative analysis of these differences and their significance according to race/ethnicity and class are central to this course. The similarities among diverse groups of women will also be examined in order to better understand the complexity of women's lives. Students examine recurrent themes, icons, imagery, and forms within the historical timeline. This course may not be used as the sole art history elective for art studio majors.
