3 FS This course prepares interested students for regional and national construction management competitions sponsored by the Associated Schools of Construction, National Association of Home Builders, Associated Builders & Contractors, and other competition sponsors. Areas of preparation include construction management business and cost management, contracts, plan reading, specifications, estimating, scheduling, equipment, safety, team building, leadership, and presentation skills.

3 FS Admission to the department's Honors in the Major program; CMGT 332H or CMGT 460H with a grade of B or higher; faculty permission. Open by invitation to construction management majors who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The culminating work of this course will be the written and oral presentation of a project of value in the field of construction management.

1 INQ Students will gain an overall view of the field, competencies to be acquired, work sites, need for professionals, professional organizations, requirements for professional certificates, etc. The course gives the students the opportunity to meet and question the University faculty, visiting faculty, area professionals, and students in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. The presentations include lectures, interviews, general discussions, and films.

4 FA Using a conversational approach, this course will provide students with a foundation of expressive and receptive skills in American Sign Language. Cultural aspects of the deaf community, such as history, education, language arts, and pragmatics will be explored. Additionally, lectures will provide information on hearing loss and comparison of sign language systems.

3 FA A survey of the normal processes of communication and of the disorders associated with parameters of communication (i.e., articulation, language, voice, fluency, and audition). The course will also include an overview of the professional aspects of speech-language pathology and audiology.

3 FS An introduction to a system of manual communication using the word order and meaning of spoken English. The course offers a comparison of other sign systems.
