3 INQ Teaching credential; four college science courses. This course will explore topics in geosciences with a constructivist approach. Participants will learn to create curricular materials suitable for classroom use. Course content will include topics in astronomy, meteorology, oceanography, and geology, and will emphasize the interdisciplinary aspects of these fields.

3 INQ Bachelor's degree in a science discipline; teaching credential. This course will involve the study of the earth systems and abiotic environment. Geology will be emphasized and the knowledge applied in an investigation of the physical dynamics of creeks in a watershed, watersheds being fundamental systems that underlie and support virtually every ecosystem.

3 INQ Teaching credential; four college science courses. This course will focus on the direct involvement with life forms around us (flowers, bugs, birds, ourselves), their adaptations to the environment and importance to ecosystems. Life science will be studied in an interdisciplinary manner, emphasizing the relationship of the biotic to the abiotic.

3 INQ Bachelor's degree in a science discipline; teaching credential. This course will focus on the study of biological patterns and interactions of organisms in riparian and creek habitats to enhance an understanding of watersheds for better stewardship. Course content will be integrated with the earth science course so that the two courses intertwine and give the student a detailed and integrated look at an important system.

3 FS NSCT 680 or permission of instructor. Formulation and pursuit, with supervision, of advanced projects and theses. Emphasis is on planning, reading, discussing, and evaluating student's manuscript-in progress. This is a required course for the distance master's program, MA in Interdisciplinary Studies: Science Teaching.

1 FS This is the first of a three-part course offered in sequence during a semester. Introduction to the essential principles of the anatomy and physiology of the heart, electrophysiology, and basic electrocardiography. After successfully completing this course, students will be able to understand basic anatomy and physiology of the heart, electrophysiology of the heart, and will be able to idenitfy the basic components of the electrocardiogram.

1 FA This is the second of a three-part course offered in sequence during a semester. Introduction to basic arrhythmia recognition and interpretation and the 12-Lead ECG system. After successfully completing this course, students will be able to recognize, interpret, and understand the clinical significance of basic atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, as well as understand the 12-Lead ECG system.

1 FA This is the third of a three-part course offered in sequence during a semester. Introduction to bundle branch blocks, cardiac hypertrophy, mocardial infarction, and mycardial ischemia. After successfully completing this course, students will be able to recognize, interpret, and understand the clinical significance of bundle blocks, chamber enlargement, electrolyte imbalances, and myocardial ischemia and infarction.
