    Explores causes of vestibular and balance disorders to determine and understanding the techniques of more advanced assessments to allow the professional to assist in the treatment of the patient. Provide the instruction in the techniques and interpretation of more advanced vestibular and balance tests. Present the etiologies of various vestibular and balance disorders to understand the techniques available in the treatment and management of the patient.

    Explains the fundamental concept to intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM). Familiarize the student with the concepts of clinical neurophysiology and practical application of IONM. Focus on the IONM principle, perioperative patient care, electrophysiological modalities, and clinical IONM applications.

    Explains the knowledge of functional human neuroanatomy. Familiarizes the students with the anatomy and physiology of nervous system and the correlation between the relevant anatomical structures and IONM practice. Focuses on clinical vignettes to facilitate the IONM interpretation and memorization of essential neuroanatomic information. Prepares students with the knowledge and skills required to pursue Certificate of IONM.

    Explains clinical neurophysiology of motor and sensory systems. Familiarizes the students with the clinical neurophysiologic examine modalities used in IONM practice: Nerve conduction study (NCS), Electromyography (EMG), Somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP), auditory evoked potentials (ABR), visual evoked potentials (VEP), motor evoked potentials (MEP). Prepares students with the knowledge and skills required to pursue Certificate of IONM within CSD graduate program.
