Topics related to understanding ourselves and others as learners, building confidence, and working in a diverse environment will also be highlighted.

Allows students opportunities to reflect on prior experiences supporting the learning of peers and apply new concepts to their work as peer educators in Commonwealth University's Learning Centers. Topics include cognitive processes for constructing knowledge, learning center andragogy/pedagogy, affective domain factors for fostering learning, and developing multicultural competence to support learners. Topics are designed for alignment with Level 2 College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) tutor training program certification.

Provides an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics covered include numerical and graphical summary procedures, basic probability concepts, random variables and distributions, the Central Limit Theorem, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing.

Provides an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics covered include numerical and graphical summary procedures, basic probability concepts, random variables and distributions, the Central Limit Theorem, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing. The course contains two credits of extra support for students who did not place into Introduction to Statistics (STA 141). Completion of this course will allow the student to take any class with Introduction to Statistics (STA 141) as a prerequisite.

Presents common statistical techniques with an emphasis on applications. Topics include confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, regression analysis and analysis of variance. The use of statistical software is encouraged.

An introduction to the basic concepts of probability including sample spaces, events, independence, conditional probability, random variables, special probability distributions, point estimation, confidence intervals, and elementary statistical inference.

Provides an introduction to the most widely used statistical software packages in government and industry. Students will gain practical experience by solving real-world statistical problems encountered by various government agencies and private companies. Graphical and numerical descriptive procedures, and inferential statistical techniques will be discussed.
