A seminar program that studies ethical and social problems resulting from the pervasiveness of media and new technologies. Topics may change from semester to semester. Students may repeat seminars, subject to a change in topic and with the approvals of the instructor and department chairperson. This course is an elective for students majoring in Media and Journalism and may substitute for the Capstone requirement. The course is only open to majors. Three hours of lecture per week.

Focuses on developing necessary strategies that allow students to pursue careers in mass media fields and to determine the student's post-graduation career option. This course Integrates skills and working knowledge from all areas of the program. This course is required for students majoring in Media and Journalism. This course may be offered in person, in a hybrid format or through distance education.

Gains practical experience in media and communication with a relevant business, non-profit, or other approved organization. Students should complete appropriate courses related to the internship prior to applying. Internships must be approved by the student's advisor, department chairperson, and other relevant personnel before work begins. Internships may be completed on-campus or off-campus, or in face-to-face, hybrid, or remote work settings.

Explores multiple aspects of strategic communication for various professional environments giving graduate students knowledge and skills to manage and perform communication roles. The course addresses theoretical frameworks for strategic communication and tactical approaches for print, online and digital communication, offering students both academic learning experience and practical knowledge to apply in respective fields. The course may be offered in person, in a hybrid format or through distance education. The pre-requisite is enrollment in a graduate-level program.

A lecture and laboratory study of bacteria, fungi, parasites and viruses which cause disease in humans, their clinical pathology and related diagnostic laboratory procedures.

A lecture and laboratory study of hematopoesis and blood coagulation. Students acquire an understanding of the theory of hematological tests, skills in the performance of these tests, knowledge of blood disorders and insight into the significance of test results.

Lecture and laboratory study of enzymes, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nitrogenous end products, electrolytes, acid-base balance, body fluids, toxicology, endocrinology and urinalysis. Lecture series includes anatomy, physiology, methods of analysis and clinical significance of each biochemical determination. Laboratory study includes standardization and quality control of procedures using spectrophotometry, chromatography, electrophoresis and automated techniques.

Lecture and laboratory study of blood groups, genetics, antigens and antibodies and their interaction as related to safe transfusion, prediction of immune incompatibilities and probability of parentage. Donor collection, processing, blood component preparation and therapy also studied.

Lecture and laboratory study of immunological concepts and theory and their relation to serologic reactions and clinical interpretations.

Covers courses not included above, such as orientation, laboratory management, education, clinical microscopy and/or areas unique to the individual hospital program.
