This course explores physical therapy interventions indicated for the normal and abnormal human development throughout the lifespan, including changes caused by pathologies. Particular attention is given to function in the school, work, home, community and social environments through data collection, communication, assessment, and interventions.

This course discusses the role of the PTA in patient/client management in specialty populations and participation in health care environment, practice management, & wellness/prevention. Special conditions include women's health, bariatrics, wounds, cancer, prosthetics, and orthotics. Additional topics include reimbursement and research methods.

This course will explore the mechanism of action, adverse effects, and physical therapy implications of drugs used to treat common cardiopulmonary, musculoskeletal, metabolic, and neurological conditions. In addition, this course will explore the essential information to be able to accurately recognize patients' medical imaging studies.

The course entails the study of mechanisms of pain management and its mediation, and the theory and practice of biophysical agents (superficial heat, electrotherapy, compression, traction, massage, etc.) The student will be able to explain the theory behind the use of biophysical agents and demonstrate the proper application.

This introductory clinical internship provides the physical therapist assistant student with extensive observation of activities such as patient care, administration, quality assurance, and supervision of other supportive personnel. In addition, students begin to treat patients using principles common to all procedures.

This clinical internship provides physical therapy assistant students with extensive and varied experience in areas such as patient care, administration, supervision of support personnel under physical therapist or physical therapist assistant supervision. The experience provides the experiential learning in developing entry-level PTA skills.

This course focuses on business problems involving finding maximum and minimum values with and without constraints. Topics include matrix algebra, linear programming, and derivatives, with focus on applications in business, economics, and the social sciences.

This course introduces the business decision-making applications of statistics (including central tendency, dispersion, correlation, simple regression, and hypothesis testing). Emphasis is placed on data visualization and communication of results.

This course introduces more advanced quantitative tools to inform complex business decision-making situations. Emphasis is placed on the application of the tools using real-world applications and case studies to practice concepts.

This course explores prediction of future outcomes using probabilities and trends, as well as relationship discoveries in data that are difficult to find with other forms of analysis in a problem and project driven course setup with various business-related managerial problems. Topics covered are data cleaning and preparation, cluster analysis, advanced regression models ie. multiple regression, autoregression, ARIMA models and predictive data mining techniques such as KNN, classification and regression trees, training and validation, ROC etc. Prerequisite: MBA 6050
