Prerequisites: Allied Health 61A and Allied Health 61B with a "C" grade or better and a current American Heart Association or an American Red Cross Professional Provider Level CPR certificate. Designed to provide the externship component of Allied Health 61, Medical Office Procedures. Each student will complete a total of 216 hours. This will be broken out as 27 hours-lecture, 27 hours-lab, and 162 hours of practical clinical experience. The practical clinical experience will be performed in rotational sequence in the offices and clinics of qualified physicians as well as medical facilities meeting externship criteria located throughout the high desert.
